Freelance journalist Jess Shanahan

I am a freelance journalist living in Norfolk and I specialise in business, tech and motoring features. I’ve written for Metro, The Guardian, British Airways’ The Club, Jaguar Land Rover’s InMotion, North Norfolk Living, Business Review Europe, Construction Global, and I’ve also discussed motoring topics on live national television, and am BBC Radio Norfolk’s motoring expert.

Take a look at my full portfolio below to see the work I’ve done in print, online, on the radio and on television too.

As well as being a journalist, I also work in motorsport and run Racing Mentor. Through this, I coach racing drivers, and anyone looking for a career in motorsport, on how to be a success and open up as many opportunities as possible. I am also a former Porsche race team boss.

In 2018 I wrote a book on motorsport sponsorship called Get Paid to Race. It is now being touted as ‘the sponsorship bible’ by racing drivers all over the world. I’m currently working on a book about imposter syndrome entitled No One Knows What the Hell They’re Doing.
